Rainforest shields, swords, boomerangs, clapsticks, bull roarers, didgeridoos.

ckshield_w300.JPGLarge wooden shields called bigin are also unique to the rainforest people. These shields were important parts of ceremonies and were used to sort out disputes. Each tribal group has their own tribal and clan group designs. Wooden swords called bagur were used with the shields in ceremonies and in fights.

Today we continue to create wooden shields decorated with traditional and contemporary designs of our tribal groups, and the wooden rainforest swords.
